Pitch It! Competition Winner

Oh wow! Winning my first writing competition (as an adult) is an AMAZING feeling. The best part is to win an appraisal by Emily Lighezzolo of Australian indie kids publisher, Wombat Books. Well done to my fellow KidLit writers who were long listed & short listed. We’re doing the work & pitching our words to publishers.

I've worked on the story I pitched, Toy Mountain for sometime and believe I’ve polished it as far as I can take it. It’s off to Emily Lighezzolo now for a review and appraisal.

I’ll let you know how I get on. Here’s what Emily said about my pitch.

Congratulations, Stef! Your pitch has proven to capture a “very important issue in today’s society but with a quirky, fun twist for kids to relate to.” (Emily Lighezzolo).
